EURECA Project – EU Resource Efficiency Coordination Action

The EURECA project is an EU Commission-funded initiative under the Horizon 2020 (H2020) programme. Commencing in March 2015, the project brings together partners from the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Germany. EURECA is specifically designed to offer tailored solutions that help identify cost-saving opportunities while highlighting the environmental implications of procurement decisions in data centres.

EURECA currently supports consolidation, new-build, and retrofit data centre projects across various European countries, with a distinct focus on public procurement for innovation (PPI). Furthermore, the project contributes to the development of European standards, best practices, and policies concerning energy efficiency in data centres and green public procurement by supplying robust scientific evidence and comprehensive data.
